Amarillo Botanical Gardens: Rainforest Month and Classes (Admission Charge Events)
Location: 1400 Streit Drive
Rainforest Month at the Botanical Gardens! What to see? Our indoor tropical conservatory is the perfect pick- me-up for the winter blahs! It’s full of greenery & flowers in a toasty warm glass building. Enjoy our new collection of epiphytes. An epiphyte grows on another plant or object and gets its moisture and nutrients from the air and rain or often from debris accumulating around its roots or within the plant itself. More plant info located on our website under Calendar/February/Rainforest MonthTake a class! Create a mini 'rainforest' in our Terrarium Workshop! A fun hands on class making a terrarium that you take home. Supplies provided. Reservations needed-class size limited. Adult class: Saturday, February 25 from 10-noon. $40 for non members, $30 members. Youth class: For youth 10 -15 on Saturday, February 11 from 1-3p and is $20. ($15 if parents have a family membership)
